Love this place! The staff are so friendly and dedicated. The coffee is great and the pastries are top notch. Really enjoyed stopping in each morning on our vacation. Hope to return very soon. I especially loved the malasdas- yum!

The best coconut peanut butter I've ever had! They have a sample so I had to buy more to take home. They were really warm and helpful with preparing my standard drip coffee. You could tell they put a lot of attention on each customer and then make sure they answered all my questions. looking forward to trying the fudge too

The food isn't bad but the guy is racist so I definitely would not recommend, especially if you have an accent. I find amusing how people that don't event speak their own language well feel comfortable commenting on other people's abilities.Tourists: Get your food somewhere else!

The only reason why I 'm giving two starts is because the first time I went there, a very lovely woman helped me with my order. Today, a very rude man got my order, and when I asked what was in a sandwich, he not only didn 't answer my question but also asked where my accent was from. After I said that I 'm originally from Brazil, he said a word in Spanish (we were talking in English the whole time). I told him that I don 't speak Spanish (in Brazil we speak Portuguese) and he said but aren 't you all the same ? which was a very racist and ignorant comment to make.After I repeated that I didn 't speak Spanish and that he could speak English with me, he said that he could not help me and left me without explaining what was on the sandwich.I was originally planning on going there everyday while in Honolulu, but today was definitely my last day.

Updating my review due to response from the owner. Looks like the masaladas are actually fully vegan! Wish there was better marking, but it’s super cool that this local cafe has vegan masaladas (aside from the custard one). Really difficult to find vegan malasadas, so highly recommend you get one here. The guava one was a delight. Thank you to the owner for responding and making these!
