We kicked things off with Hendricks Gin and Tonics, substituting lime for the traditional cucumber slice. It was a refreshing start, though I wish bartenders would pay more attention to garnishes when serving specific gins. We ordered three dishes: Pork Chops on roasted rice, Pad Thai with chicken, and Stir-Fried Vegetables with beef. First, the pork chop dish was massive! Tender boneless slices were served over a bed of fried rice (Chinese style and a bit on the dry side) and drenched in a very sweet tomato sauce. The texture and flavor surprisingly reminded me of waffles with maple syrup. While I enjoyed it, the sweetness of the sauce took me by surprise. The Pad Thai was good—no complaints there. However, the standout dish for me was the stir-fried vegetables with beef. The vegetables (broccoli, green beans, carrots, and mushrooms) were crisp, and the beef was tender. The sauce was light yet flavorful, allowing the beautiful vegetables to shine. I could have easily enjoyed this dish with a bowl of rice. We didn’t have room for dessert, but I did finish my meal with a Thai iced coffee. The coffee was excellent, enhanced by a generous amount of milk. It was incredibly cool and refreshing—I could have easily downed two glasses. In conclusion, we didn’t spend a lot of time at Panya Bistro, but the food was very good and the service was pleasant (we left after 93 minutes). Parking in Hokua is convenient and free with validation. Overall, the prices were quite reasonable.
My friends and I had a lovely brunch at Panya Bistro and Bakery. The menu is extensive, offering options to satisfy everyone at the table. From Laksa and Loco Moco to Vietnamese, Thai dishes, sandwiches, burgers, and pasta, there's something for every palate. We took our time going through the menu, and everything we tried was delicious!
We enjoyed some excellent drinks and appetizers during our visit. Since we were seated at the bar, the service was quick, although it could have been a bit friendlier. The parking situation near the corner was convenient. The desserts were fantastic as well, and I appreciated the outdoor seating and clean restrooms. I'll definitely return, but I hope the servers can add a bit more warmth to their service.
Taiwanese noodles were *real* good, and edamame were perfectly boiled and salted. Open Avocado Sandwich on Croissant was also excellent. The outdoor seating were very comfortable and the staff was attentive to the right degree. A little expensive, but it's worth it. Nicole, Rosie and Alex were great!
Great place, need to train the staff to be more receptive though. Came 30 minutes early for reservation and they told me I couldn't sit yet, came back 30 minutes later and sat at the exact same table that was open when I came first. The food was excellent however the server was also kind of impolite.
