We both practically inhaled! Nice business with her dog mascot on her shields and also very friendly staff. Come back to the future!
Best Malasada on the island. I almost do not want to write this review so that it can be kept secret. The plain Malasada and the li hing Malasada are a must try! The bread pudding is also quite amazing. The only hard thing about the pipeline bakery is the lack of parking. There are 2 or 3 stands along the Waialae Ave (main road) bounded towards west/south, but otherwise you need to find and go parking somewhere.
Sweet bakery and super friendly staff! We ordered a few different articles and I will begin with the Lililkoi ice tea. We ordered the big one for $3,50 and I really wanted to like it, but it didn't have much taste. The 16oz cup was filled with ice and the tea was poured over the ice, I tasted it immediately because I feared that after the ice the taste would melt (but there was not much taste to begin and would give it only a 1 star). We also ordered the Malasadas (the shield says they are freshly baked) and they were warm when we went out of the bakery business. They're similar to Leonard's Bakery. We ate them as soon as we came out and found them very tasty. The last two things we brought home to eat. First the Malasada bread pudding, DELICIOUS (definite 5 STARS). The gall that helped us said it would be best if it were warm, so we put it in the microwave for 20 seconds (so good). The last thing we bought was a strawberry cake bomb (was not a favorite), will not buy again. The brightly colored cake was super soggy and had no taste, although the light frosting was good, had a touch of strawberry flavor (1 star). I go back for the Malasada Bread Pudding and the Malasadas and look forward to trying some of their other articles. (The Lilikoi cream cheese bar, Ube Haupia Mac Nut Bar, and the cookies look really good).
My favorite Malasada and Goodies joint! Also the ice cream and coffee are good and the torch is sweet!
It's very hard to find. You have to go up the ramp to the second story. It's right by the very bright made in Hawaii painting. The donuts are great. Basically the same vibe as Duck Donuts if you're from the East Coast.
