Delicious little hole in the corner place. Portions are big. Food tastes great
I typically filter to vegan-only on Happy Cow and almost missed this place and I'm so glad I didn't. This turned out to be our favorite place during our week-long stay in Honolulu. It's a shame that they serve dairy in their Vietnamese coffee, or else it could be a 100% vegan place All of the food is vegan. We came here twice during our trip and overall had the duck bamboo soup twice 13), wonton noodle soup once 13 and rice with meatloaf 10). Everything we had was great, but our favorite was definitely the duck bamboo soup. It comes as a bowl of soup with rice noodles, oyster mushrooms, and bamboo shoots, with a plate of cabbage salad and duck on the side. The duck is made from bean curd and it is SO good. Definitely give it a try! We also really liked that this restaurant has very reasonable prices and they don't have what I think of as a vegan upcharge where just because the food is vegan and they know it is specialty they tack on a few more dollars. Every dish was in the $10-$15 range instead of typical vegan places that have things in the $15-$20 range. Also by the way, the people working there don't speak English very well so be patient and clear when ordering! My uncle one time placed an order but then changed it, and he ended up getting both entrees.
Delicious Vietnamese vegan cuisine. Truly unexpected and delicious. This will be my new go to place when I visit Oahu.
I was so happy to be able to try real Vietnamese food again, I’ve been sick of the basic veggie and tofu stir fry or veggie pho. They really work on getting the flavors as close as possible to the original dishes so check them out!!
