We sat down and enjoyed not only watching them prepare our nigiri, abalone and sashimi but also listening to the Chef and owner talk story. No loud music nor dark atmosphere. He welcomed everyone who passed and customers alike. The chef and Emmy provided a cozy setting for my husband and I to enjoy our anniversary lunch. Arigato for everything!
This Mom Pop restaurant is located in a the Hana Hale Marketplace. Don't let the flee market fool you! We had the Sushi deluxe, dragon roll and the spicy tuna roll. The lady was so sweet. They only take reservations however, there was room in the center of the market. She said we could order and she would bring the food to us. Well she did just that and waited on our table as well. Excellent Sushi and pure kindness!!!
Omakase tastes amazing! Very nice spot inside the marketplace, every dish is exquisite.
My all time favorite is Chirashi bowl, got all my favorites! I often order real crab sushi roll, not the fake-crab kind to go with my bowl. Nicely done. Intimate counter space. Gets busy on Fri and Sat evenings. I 've always ordered to-go and ate at home. Parking in the old Sports Authority isn 't bad if you head towards the makai side of the lot.
Our favorite place in the Ohana Market Place on Ward. We enjoy eating there because everyone is so nice and pleasant and although it's a tiny place one of the few places I know that we can just pop in and get quality sushi and sashimi. We tried their omakase so ono! Last week we tried their salmon and hamachi bowl and the fish was amazing fresh and delicious. The owners come up with some new creations that we have been lucky to taste!
