Ground - HOOD RIVER

I absolutely love this restaurant! The owners are wonderful, and all the food is made from scratch. While I was there, I saw a dog standing on its hind legs, patiently waiting for its owner to come out with some delicious coffee!

Good mood, great staff and a solid menu that is well done. I had breakfast plates, smoothies, coffee, chai, bakery, GF options... This is the most solid café in the hood. Three months ago, the rounds around every coffee place/café were completed. This will be my way.

I absolutely love the espresso here; it's full of flavor without being overwhelmingly bold. Plus, it's refreshing to see it served in a ceramic cup—I haven't experienced that joy since March 2020 when the world went into lockdown. This charming spot is conveniently located at the end of Main Street in Hood River. The outdoor seating is fantastic, and they serve sandwiches on paninis, which is just unbeatable!

It's surprising that they don't position themselves more as an amazing bakery because they have some killer whole wheat orange cranberry and maple bacon scones, Nutella croissants and hot out of the oven coconut chocolate chip cookies. And of course a few gluten free options. My fancy English breakfast tea was served in a proper ceramic pot with a generous portion of milk on the side, just the way I like it. The avocado toast with thin tomato slices, feta and a sprinkle of lemon pepper is scrumptious! Staff are very friendly and helpful. One negative for me I was dying for fresh baked goods with walnuts or pecans and there were none. I think all the allergies to peanuts have made bakeries gun shy of all nuts.

This delightful little shop is vibrant and very inviting. They make the most of every available space for seating, ensuring there's always a spot for you. The customer service is outstanding. The coffee roast is on the lighter side but still incredibly tasty. I will definitely be stopping by every time I'm in the area!
