Modern Taco - HOOD RIVER

This place wants to appear modern and “instagram-friendly” but the food is mediocre at best. It smells like frying oil inside, my water glass was cracked pretty badly, and finally — the food was very oily and just not tasty at all. Their corn tortillas are tough, the falafel tasted and looked nothing like it should and it was topped with veggies in mayo. Don’t go here if you are used to good restaurants in a big city. What a fun taco spot!!! Great flavors, the kimchee beef was my favorite!!! The margaritas are delicious. We had excellent service with great recommendations. The tacos are generous in size. Trust me when I say that if you're a normal eater…Two tacos is plenty!!! Go here. Eat tacos, have a Margie, talk to the people. It's a great spot.

First off, the service. We love Lorenzo and always look forward to seeing him. I think the chef is onto something with his food combinations, but the execution isn't quite there. I hope this iteration sticks around long enough to make it work.

Great place for fresh and tasty food. Would come here every day for lunch if I lived nearby.
