Simon's Cliff House - HOOD RIVER

This place always transports me back in time. I love the atmosphere and ambiance. At night you can't see the river but you know it's there and the small decorative lights outside on the patio make it cozy. The building is very old so it is a bit drafty on by the windows, just bring a sweater and enjoy a piece of history :

We enjoyed the meal, ambiance and service. No complaints. Must share that the Stonehedge dinner, within the same week, was slightly better at noticeably lower cost.

Good food. Didn’t acknowledge my wife’s birthday that I wrote in the open table comments section. Everyone had a jacket on because it was so cold in the dining area.

We made a reservation at noon but we wanted to modify and asked if it's okay to arrive at 11:30 instead. We were told they are completely booked until noon so we decided to show up at 11:30 and wait until noon; however, the restaurant didn't open until 11:45 and we were the first customer! They didn't need to lie like that. They could tell us they don't open until 11:45 anyway. Food was good and waitress was wonderful, so I gave them 4 stars.

My wife and I went on our honeymoon. Such a beautiful hotel and restaurant.
