Trillium Cafe - HOOD RIVER

The black chicken burger was undoubtedly the best I've ever tasted. The service was excellent. However, it wasn't really necessary for the manager or owner to go on about past rents and their plans for rebuilding for the upcoming season. The chef clearly had a passion for his St. Patrick's Day special, which sounded like a mouthwatering Irish whiskey stew.

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review for this place yet! Maybe it’s because I have such a great time every time I visit. When I wake up in the morning, my fingers feel all puffy, and I hesitate to touch my iPhone since it’s a $1,000 pocket computer. Honestly, the jell-O shots alone are worth the trip to this neighborhood, and if you happen to find a pair of heart-shaped glasses... those are mine!

Great menu options, good portions on lunches, limited but decent beer selection. Friendly staff. Recommended.

So, this place has a lot going for it. If they could dial in the grub, they'd have a winning combination. I had the Uranium burger, and for a Garlic and Blue Cheese Burger my taste buds were thoroughly underwhelmed. The staff were friendly and courteous as well as quick. The fries that accompanied my burger were very good. I just wish I had been able to move some of that flavor to my burger. This really is a fun little hole in the wall, smack dab in the midst of Hoodsville on Oak. Give it a go sometime. Mileage may vary.

We stopped in for a quick snack but ended up having lunch instead. It was a delightful experience, especially with the bartenders crafting our drinks based on our preferences from the extensive bar menu. I had high expectations for the mac and cheese, which was listed as a specialty on the menu, and let me tell you—it exceeded all of them. It was absolutely incredible! Rather than being loaded with extras, it featured only the finest ingredients. I found myself wanting to devour it all at once, but I made a conscious effort to savor each bite so I could remember it forever. My lunch was described as good and flavorful, and the freshly cut fries were delicious. The establishment was clean, and the service was friendly and efficient.
