Shono's - Hoover

I visited Shono's for the first time with a friend and had the chicken steak rice bowl, which was absolutely delicious. After that experience, I was determined to bring my husband there to try it too. I finally succeeded, and he said he would definitely come back frequently. The restaurant is very clean, and the service is exceptional. I highly recommend giving Shono's a try. Be sure to sample the bowls, but the plates also looked fantastic!

Begin your lunch with the salad featuring ginger dressing. The shrimp entrée, accompanied by sautéed vegetables and fried rice, is consistently outstanding. The dipping sauce for the shrimp is incredibly addictive; it’s impossible to have just a little. I always have a wonderful experience at Shono's. The food is fantastic, and the staff are always eager to assist.

This restaurant is fantastic! I usually order the shrimp, and it never disappoints. I absolutely love the fried rice and vegetables that accompany the meal. It's a refreshing change from what you typically find at Japanese restaurants. The flavors here are richer and more authentic.

I came across a recent post but my experience has been quite different. Since the change in ownership, I've only dined in, and I personally think it's even better now. I absolutely love Shonos! I've been going there since it first opened. It's a fantastic place!

I wish I had known that the previous owners had retired before visiting this restaurant. The portion sizes were half of what I expected. One of my dishes was supposed to come with double rice, but it didn’t. When I called to address the issue, the young lady I spoke to repeated “yeah” several times without answering my questions and then hung up on me. That was disappointing customer service. I called back to speak with someone else in hopes of resolving the issues before leaving a review, but the guy I spoke to wasn’t very helpful either. The egg roll was good, but everything else didn’t quite meet my expectations. Considering what I paid, I could have had a nice meal at a sit-down restaurant instead.
