Happy Wok - Hopatcong

Happy Wok is undoubtedly the best Chinese restaurant in the area. I highly recommend the chicken and eggplant with brown sauce, as well as all of the shrimp dishes. The food is consistently cooked to perfection, fresh, and bursting with flavor—never oversalted. The beef is incredibly tender and truly the best I’ve ever tasted. They also go the extra mile by offering dim sum. If you live on the other side of the lake, making the trip here is definitely worth it!

I stopped by and ordered a lunch combination. The food was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. It was very generous for the price. The bathroom was clean and well-stocked. I give it five stars!

My favorite spot for Chinese food! The dishes are always perfectly prepared and the quality is top-notch. One of my personal favorites is the Empire Chicken Deluxe, which features chicken, shrimp, and ginger in a delicious sauce.

We decided to pick up dinner from Happy Wok, but we won’t be doing it again. We’ve been dining there for five years, and while it hasn’t always been the best food, it used to be consistent. Our usual dinner typically costs around $27. However, tonight we ordered the same as usual, and our bill came to $40. That’s an outrageous price increase. To top it off, they stuffed the container with mustard. From now on, I’ll be counting every penny. I won’t trust their receipts anymore; it’s just not worth it! This experience was at the Lakeside Ave location.

My first visit to this restaurant was disappointing. I ordered the coconut chicken and wontons. The coconut chicken was simply cooked in coconut milk and lacked flavor, and the soup wasn't very good either. Overall, I felt that I wasn't getting my money's worth. The food was cold and the portions were small, making it feel like an incomplete meal. I definitely won't be returning for subpar food.
