Straub`s Krone - Horb am Neckar

While in Horb I went for a lunch and ordered duck. The food was good, but it was to expensive for the value that you get. I have been in other restaurants and got better food for less money.

We loved this place. You can watch your meal made right in the dining room, not in a back room kitchen like other restaurants. The food and people are wonderful and this family has run this restaurant for many generations.We have been on tour of germany for 5 weeks and this was the best stop we made. Worth going out of your way for the best meal of your life. They bring "comfort Food" to a whole new level.

This restaurant is off the motorway, in a small village near Horb am Neckar. It's a handy stop if travelling between Switzerland and Stuttgart. There's a grill area and restaurant. It's family run, Martin S cooks, his wife waits on you with charm, mother and mother in law do the dishes. Straub prides himself on his duck though Chinatown ducks have the edge. We had duck Asian style, my son had cheese Spätzle. It filled a hole at a very reasonable price. It's very provincial, the old codgers drop in and out as do the local old age pensioners for coffee after their lunch.

GREAT food! Wonderful service! The chef even came out to answer questions about the fish from Africa. Some of the best fish I tasted and the salads were very impressive. My spouse and I bumped into this restaurant and were sure glad we did. Can't recommend enough taking in this establishment.

The food here is really good! Martin, Fabi, and the staff are all friendly. I would definitely come eat here again and recommend this place to my friends..
