The Schützenhof in Hornburg offers fine dishes. The cook really understands his craft. It's not a snap, but it's completely justified for the level of the kitchen. The great manko of the Schützenhof is the ambience as with many old guest houses in Harz. The old 70s charm insults me personally. Feeling good is not possible. And the service is terrible. If I offer upscale gastronomy, the service should be appropriate. But it's as muffy and pragmatic as the setup. You really feel like they don't have a bump. But you should never let the guests know that and be it just for the tip.

The kitchen is absolutely great! High quality and creative dishes! A visit is worthwhile!!!
