I made the mistake of stopping at the KFC/HJ/McD corner on the highway. It was Easter Monday and the lines were so long! I got back in the car and drove into the city where I found this restaurant. We were hungry and it satisfied our cravings, but to be truthful, it wasn't anything out of the ordinary.
This bakery has been ruined since a last change of the own! I was a loyal customer of this bakery for over 40 years, until I was disappointed to learn that all the products were discontinued and replaced by the new owners (waacks bake. the street.) no more tasty cakes, rolls, donuts, slices or brot that I had grown to love. what an absolute shame that the wimmera has lost it is best bakery. this bakery had earlier a name for itself, until adelaide and melbourne sad, the new owners did not realize that this and the word will change.
The restaurant has been taken over by new owners who have missed a great opportunity to turn it into a boutique bakery. Horsham already has plenty of mass-produced pastries and bread, and the products being sold here are not appealing. A successful example of a boutique bakery is the Bridgewater Bakehouse in Bridgewater.
The staff member behind the counter was rude and uninterested. There were very few vegetarian options. The vegetable pastie I ordered was hard, dry, and tasteless, leading me to believe it was not made fresh that day. I also purchased a bottle of water from the fridge, only to discover it had already been opened once I had left (promptly throwing it away). I will not be returning to this restaurant.
