Papa Pizza - Horta

Not a good pizza for us. But we’re italian. I think they didn’t use yeast. Long waiting but friendly staff. A lot of local people there, so that’s good pizza for them

Good pizza, friendly and flexible staff. We went for the half and half pizza with two different fillings and it was good.

Awful, canned mushrooms on greasy pizza. We tried three different pizza's. The mushroom pizza was worst of all, but I would also definitely not recommend the rest. It's cheap, but you also taste it's cheap.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and settled for pizza. A simple clean and familiar space, old fashioned pizza parlor with tiled floor. Offers a big selection (it is said to be the biggest on the island) of pizzas and burgers, you can it in or take out. A medium, fresh from the oven, was plenty for the two of us. Lovely and excellent pizza, really friendly staff and service, good English and really reasonable prices. It is said to be the first pizza place on the island.

If you want a casual, inexpensive dining experience while taking in the sights and sounds of Horta, go to Papas Pizza. We went every day for a late lunch because of their quick service and delicious pizza which was well deserved after taking part in many of Faial's hiking trails. They only take Visa or Cash but my husband and I enjoyed several drinks and a small pizza each for under 20 Euro.
