Fishland - Horten

We highly recommend this restaurant. The food exceeded our expectations, with my choice of the trout and my husband's hamburger both being delicious. We also enjoyed a delightful rhubarb dessert with ice cream. The only drawback was the slow service, as both our table and the one next to us had to wait a long time for a server due to inattentive staff. However, we will certainly return to this restaurant in the future.

After visiting the Maritime Museum nearby, we decided to dine at Fishland based on recommendations from bloggers. The restaurant's exterior looked like any other harbor-front eatery, but we were pleasantly surprised by the cozy and inviting atmosphere inside. We both ordered fish dishes - my friend had the salmon with butter jus, while I chose the monkfish with lobster sauce, vegetables, and jacket potatoes. The fish was perfectly cooked, moist, and flavorful, and the side of asparagus, broad beans, and broccoli added a delicious crunch to the meal. Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience at Fishland and would recommend it, despite the slightly higher price compared to other options in the area.

However, there are a few decor elements that don't quite fit the traditional fishing house vibe, such as the white nightclub-style bar. The menu is limited, with only two fish dishes and three meat dishes available. Prices are a bit high, but the presentation is elegant and the food is delicious and satisfying in portion size.
