Americano - HOUNSLOW

Americano is one of my favourite fast food restaurant. They serve a selection of foods from burgers, pizzas, great chicken and of course Indo-Asian dishes. The staff are always pleasant.

The restaurant provided poor and impolite customer service. The biryani was prepared quickly, within five minutes, but it had an unusual smell and off-putting taste. It did not resemble a traditional Hyderabadi biryani and fell short of my expectations.

Being a regular visitor to Hounslow, I never fail to taste 2 of their dishes: the chicken biryani at £3.50 (previously £2.50) and the Chicken Curry at £5.50 (previously £4.50). So I would be able to tell the difference during my last visit in May 2019. Whilst d biryani still tastes good and value for money, I cant say the same for the Chicken Curry. It lacks punch and the spicy richness I was so accustomed to previously. Overall, Americano is still worthy of visit as its only 60m or so from Travelodge and Ramada where I frequently stay.

Triple shezwan fried rice, lollypops, chicken cold dry, chicken manchurian, huh fried noodles and eggs fried rice, really felt like I eat from mumbai. the taste was exactly the same and with the right amount of flavor (extra hot) as we like it. the salt was a little less, but I guess it was good for us for a long time. the shezwan chutney was the best, sweet spicy mix (like the shezwan chutney in mumbai). I had a lot of tears in Britain, but that's as close as it's to mumbai chinese. the good work youngs.

This place makes really good Indian cuisine as well as their usual pizzas and burgers. they can try the vadapav that is very rare to find in london. their indo-Chinese options are also fantastic.
