Delicious eating at a reasonable price with super friendly staff

Great change from hotel cuisine. Was suggested the Chicken Katsu Bento Box by the lady serving and what a dish, tasty and filling and came with miso soup , all washed down with refreshing Green tea. Give it a go and support local, you won’t be disappointed

Ordered delivery. The food came in good time and was well presented and packaged, I had high hopes. Approx an £80 order. The problem with the food was the lack of flavour. The sashimi (tuna and salmon) had no flavour it wasn't off so I wonder if it had been frozen? The chicken yakitori was tender but again had no flavour, the gyoza had a minced mushy pork mixture inside with no flavour, same with the rolls. Some dishes had a hint of chilli but that was it. It's as if the chef didn't have any fresh herbs, miso, soy etc to hand when the food was preapred. Shame as it looked great. Not on the list of order again places I'm afraid.

My daughter is about to go off to university again and we needed some nice Japanese food to send her off. We visited Oishi for the first time but will be surprised if we do not become regular visitors. We had a wide variety of food and all of it was excellent. We had a nice surprise when the bill came as it was much less than we expected.
