Aroma Colombia - Houston

This is a lovely restaurant located in the Energy Corridor, perfect for small groups or family meals. The menu offers a great variety of dishes to satisfy different tastes. One of my favorite things is their fresh fruit juices; they're incredibly delicious. I also enjoy the fried yuca. The portion sizes are generous, so when we visit, we always leave with a to-go box to enjoy later.

The food here is excellent and truly tastes like home-cooked meals. Their specials on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays are fantastic. The restaurant is also very clean, which is a big plus. We find ourselves returning all the time. I absolutely love their fruit smoothies, especially the guanabana en leche and mora en leche.

I absolutely adore this restaurant! The food and customer service are fantastic. It's a hidden gem with incredible dishes, from cheese sticks to empanadas to bandeja paisa (my favorite!). They've also got the best ajiaco I've tasted in Houston! I occasionally even grab dessert and some pandebono to take home for later—no judgment, please!

I wanted to like this place so much! The location is convenient however, to say the food was underwhelming is a complete understatement. I had the empanadas to start off and they had more potato than actual beef. The green sauce is probably my favorite part of the entire meal. We ordered the bandeja paisa and the carne asada had ZERO flavor. I?ve never had to put so much hot sauce to make something edible ever?. And the first bite I took was a bunch of fat. Bandeja paisa is about $18. While the food was good, I do believe service can definitely be improved. As a Colombian, I did not feel welcomed. Ambiance also lacks. I hope these improve!
