Bouxreaux's Cajun Kitchen - Houston

The restaurant was surprisingly empty when we visited for dinner on a Saturday. It was very quiet and clean, which was nice. However, my main issue was that it was incredibly cold inside. It was a chilly day outside, so I don’t understand why they had the air conditioning and ceiling fans running. The temperature was uncomfortably low, making it difficult to fully enjoy my meal.

I really enjoyed my meal, and everyone was very friendly! I will definitely be coming back to this location.

While handling some errands, I came across this restaurant, which seems to be a long-standing establishment in Texas. Unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed. The interior looks quite old and lacks cleanliness. I ordered the shrimp po' boy sandwich, which was just okay, but it was quite dry. My husband chose the grilled chicken with a side salad and double red beans and rice; he mentioned that the food was well-seasoned. However, I don't think I'll be returning, as the cleanliness did not meet my standards.

I hadn't been to this location and decided to have lunch. The staff was kind and friendly. I tried the shrimp and friend grits with cajun sauce as the cashier said I wouldn't go wrong. She was surly right. Ooooh my, it was really good. The establishment was clean and plenty of tables. If you want to get a great meal and hangout with family and/or friends this is the place to do so. You will not go wrong.

Love love love their crawfish ettouffe over white rice ! The blackened tilapia ??seasoned to perfection ! Reasonable pricing !
