Candelari's Pizzeria - Houston

We've always enjoyed Candelaris; there's just something about the Italian/pizza atmosphere that feels casual yet cozy and romantic (I really love pizza, lol). The pizza is fantastic, and they have a good wine selection, along with tasty appetizers. During our last visit, the service was a bit disorganized, but I think that was due to us going at a less busy time—usually, it's perfectly fine. It's a great place to stop by if you're in the Med Center area or just craving some amazing pizza.

We were visiting Houston from The Woodlands for a date night and staying at a hotel on a Tuesday. We had no idea where to eat, but as we drove around, an enticing aroma caught our attention, and we decided to follow it. I'm so glad we did! The atmosphere was vibrant, the service was outstanding, and the food was simply divine. Unable to choose just one dish, we trusted our instincts and ordered an appetizer along with three main courses, knowing we could take some home. Having been to Italy, I can confidently say that the food here is truly authentic and made with love. I don't usually take photos of my meals, but last night was an exception!

I visited this restaurant for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The exterior is quite modest, but the wood-burning oven and outdoor patio create a welcoming atmosphere. I tried the Shrimp Bianca Cappanelli, which was tasty. However, I found our waiter to be somewhat inattentive. Despite this, I plan to return for another experience.

My go-to for great authentic Italian food. I seem to want this on Mondays, and I forget that they are closed. They could use training in personality. Staff's a bit dry and going through the motions, but the food is GOOD! The atmosphere in terms of music is really nice. I visit this place at least once every 3 weeks. Rather, I Dine in or take out, Candelari's makes the list.

I wanted deep dish . I got thin! Nothing was great!
