El Pollo Loco - Houston

The prices for the food are quite high considering the quality. It doesn't feel like the dishes are homemade. Additionally, I was charged extra for a dressing.

I visit this restaurant frequently because the food is excellent, but today (12/19/23) I had a disappointing experience at the drive-thru. The girl on the speaker was really rude, so I stopped my order mid-sentence and drove away. There was a car waiting at the window, so I couldn't leave right away, but as soon as they pulled off, I did too. I would rather wait and spend my money with courteous people than deal with whoever is currently working the drive-thru.

I hadn't visited an El Pollo Loco in years and was hoping to find the Shrimp Avocado Burrito that I used to enjoy. When I asked the gentleman at the counter about it, he really struggled to understand the word "shrimp," so I decided to go with the Chicken Avocado Burrito meal instead. It came with a drink and chips, and a variety of tasty condiments, including cilantro, pico de gallo, and a delicious avocado dip, which I added to both my burrito and chips. My partner ordered a quesadilla but couldn't finish it, so I helped her out with that, too. Overall, the food was great, there were unlimited drink refills, and I left with a very satisfied stomach!

This is my go-to for fast food. Oh so good, and they are always so kind at the window.

This is a little neighborhood gem. The food is delicious, the service excellent, and the staff is professional and very friendly.
