El Rey Taqueria - Houston

My wife wasn't a fan of her fajitas, but I really enjoyed my roasted chicken. We both adored the limonada.

**Food:** The delicious tacos are made fresh and come with both green and red sauce. I especially loved the salmon taco! **Value:** I highly recommend taking advantage of their Taco Tuesday special, where you can get any three tacos for just $8.50 — an excellent deal. **Ambience:** You place your order at the counter, and there’s ample seating available inside the restaurant.

November 2023: I visited this restaurant for the first time, and it was a wonderful experience. The gentleman at the register was very kind and patient while I decided what to order since it was my first time there. I placed two to-go orders, one for a friend and one for myself. I chose the Taco Tuesday special along with a small horchata. I received three tacos: a Cuban taco, a Cuban vegan taco, and a carnitas taco. The food was excellent, and I enjoyed the horchata as well. It was a bit sweeter than what I'm used to, but still very tasty.

Don't miss Taco Tuesday. Buy two and this is free. Lattes are delicious, as is half chicken Cuban plate.

I love this El Rey taqueria since they moved here. Best tacos around, better than all those joints off of Shepherd. Quality, go-to place for the breakfast tacos and best tacos for any other time. Especially love the Cubano Mojo pork, soooooo god. It's a big meal and you might get it to share, but when you open the box you WILL get greedy!!!The service is always on point and fast.
