I absolutely loved the friendly and warm atmosphere! The service was delightful, and the food was outstanding. We ordered fried chicken and meatloaf, and both dishes were incredibly delicious. The sweet tea was just what I would consider a true Texas tea! I’ll likely return on a Sunday, as I’ve heard they serve gumbo then. I can’t wait to try it! Everything sounds so tasty!

Upon entering the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, making us feel like we were stepping into our aunt's home for a Sunday dinner. We ordered the oxtail plate and a meatloaf plate, accompanied by sides of green beans, macaroni and cheese, greens, and rice and beans. The portions were generous enough for two people to share just one plate. They serve iced tea and Kool-Aid; as someone from Los Angeles, sweet tea is a new experience for me, so I often ask to mix it with water since it's a bit too sweet for my taste. The location is small, so if you're not paying attention, you might miss it. Overall, this place offers excellent home-cooked food, and I highly recommend it!

We really loved this hidden gem! The home-cooked meals were delicious and portion sizes were generous, so we ended up taking some food home with us. The service was fantastic too! We’ll definitely be stopping by again soon.

If you love great soul food and a family environment, this is the place to go. This small business is a treat, and we love that the owner is a product of the community. You never know who you might run into. The German butter cake and peach cobbler are no joke, and the sweet tea is a must. Just to name a few entrée favorites, we highly recommend the oxtails, smothered pork chops, pig feet, and meatloaf. The vegetables are really good, with okra being my go-to. We have dined in and gotten food to go. To say we are fans is an understatement.
