The parking was a bit limited, but the food was excellent and served piping hot, which I really appreciated—definitely a 5-star experience for that alone. Everything was nicely seasoned. I ordered the two-meat combo with curry chicken and oxtails, along with three sides: rice and beans, curry mashed potatoes, and cabbage. However, I had requested plantains, and instead, I received cabbage. Since I dined in, I brought this to the server's attention, and she informed me that they had run out of plantains. I believe I should have been made aware of this situation so that I could decide on a substitution rather than having her make that choice for me. What if I didn't even like cabbage? Thankfully, I do enjoy it, so it wasn't a significant issue for me, but as a point of improvement, if a dish is unavailable, it's better to inform the customer so they can choose something they prefer in return. It's not ideal for staff to make substitutions without consulting the customers first.

I decided to give this restaurant a try since it's close to home. I'm usually a regular at another place for takeout. The oxtail had a different flavor compared to what I'm used to, and it appeared a bit greasy. The taste was decent overall. The rice had a flavor that I can't quite put my finger on, and the chicken was quite dry and lacked any real seasoning. Other than that, I didn't encounter any other issues.

I absolutely love this place! As someone from a Jamaican background, I can confidently say that the food here is fantastic—truly the best in the city, in my opinion. I know authentic Jamaican cuisine very well, and you won't be disappointed!
