The food came out quickly, the vegetables were fresh, and everything was served hot. The restaurant has a cute and trendy atmosphere, with interesting artwork on the walls. However, there were some drawbacks to our visit. I ordered the Dan Dan noodles based on the waitress's recommendation, but I didn't enjoy them as they had a strong peanut butter flavor. Additionally, the General Tso's chicken had large chunks of ginger which I found unappetizing, although it could be requested to be left out. Overall, I had a good experience at the restaurant, but I was not fully satisfied with the food. It's possible that I am more accustomed to non-authentic Chinese cuisine. Despite this, I still believe this place is worth a try.
I decided to try this restaurant based on positive reviews. I ordered the 3 Cup Chicken from the lunch menu. The Hot and Sour soup was just okay and not very warm. The Egg rolls were tasty, but the 3 Cup Chicken lacked color and flavor, tasting a bit plain. I also ordered the Mr. and Mrs. Smith dish to go, as it is my wife's favorite. This dish is usually a good indicator of how good a restaurant is, but unfortunately it didn't quite pass the taste test compared to other Chinese restaurants on Bellaire St. However, the service was exceptional.
The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious. The twice cooked pork is thinly sliced and comes with a flavorful sauce and oil, making it the best I've had in a while. The spicy chicken, topped with sesame seeds, is also quite tasty. I highly recommend trying the shrimp fried noodles, which are delicious with their long noodles. A unique touch is that they provide a whole pot of white rice for each table. Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit.
Hu?s Cooking quickly became filled with people after opening at 11am on Sunday. The Lamb with Cumin was super aromatic with plenty of chili flakes. The Vermicelli with cabbage was seasoned very well. The pork blood and intestine pot was good, but thepork blood was hard. The pork blood?s texture was not on point. It wasn?t soft enough. The intestine was very chewy and cookedreally soft. I wouldn?t order this dish in the future. Flounder in Szechuan Hot Chili Oil was super spicy and included many beansprouts/vegetables/herbs. Overall great experience. FYI, if you can?t find parking spaces in front of the building, don?t fret, because there are some more in the back.
This restaurant is right off the street on the end of a little strip. There is dedicated parking in front for them and I think there was a lot on the side rear with additional parking, but I didn't confirm that. When you walk in, the main dining area ison the right with a few tables set up on the left as well. We chose to sit on the left side and it was really pleasant. Thenoise levels were pretty low. They had a lot of boxes piled up. It appeared like they might be struggling to stay organizedgiven the current situation with Covid. Don't let the appearance fool you though. The staff were very welcoming and tookexcellent care of us. The food was fantastic! The seafood stew was full of delicious goodies and had a nice spice level. Thechicken is always a favorite and was cooked to perfection. The french beans had that crunch you expect. The pricing and portionsizes were very fair. I really enjoyed this restaurant and highly recommend it.
