I arrived at 6:00 PM, and there was only a short wait, but by half an hour later, the place was packed and people had to wait for a table. It seems that coming early is the way to go for dinner. Highly recommended!
Outstanding Japanese cuisine and sushi at a great price! Water, tea, and soup are all self-service. It can get quite busy at times, but the service is generally quick. This place was started by the original owners of Hokkaido, and I've followed them here. Iwa Ya consistently delivers!
The restaurant is quite warm, around 80 degrees, and feels damp, which made me uncomfortable eating sushi that should be kept at a proper temperature. Instead, I opted for a Katsu, but it was overly dry. The glasses had a soapy taste, although at least they were clean. If you prioritize quality, this might be the place for you.
Came here for the first time with some friends and was not disappointed. Sit down, order your food and help yourself to water, tea or free soup to go with your meal. Overall, the food was very delicious. If you love sushi, this is a great place to stop by!
One of my favorite sushi spots! this place is self serve (you sit yourself down, you go up to the cashier to order and pay, and then grab your own drinks! they have lots of complimentary appetizers that are delicious! my go to roll is the hawaii volcano roll!
