We were in town to see a concert and wanted to make a nice, long weekend of it (we live in New England). We were so happy with our choice to stay at Houstonian it was so welcoming and just extremely comfortable. We both wished we'd added on a day or even two. The food was great, the pool was perfect, and the STAFF! They were just so kind and warm hearted, very welcoming in every possible way.
I wanted to make something special before the beginning of school with my son (4 years old). the houstonian offers a stay and play package that includes a movie in the room, sweets, popcorn and a welcome gift for the child. we loved this and our whole stay here absolutely. we especially enjoyed our time at the pool. each individual person we met from the service staff to the home business was friendly, professional and accommodating. we have also made a small tour through the bakery and could decorate at the ende cookies. overall I am so glad that I booked this stay. we were able to create some beautiful special memories and to start a wonderful annual tradition. Thank you.
Lovely hotel… but under construction these days. We enjoyed the pools and a yoga class Tribute restaurant was great for breakfast. Staff was helpful throughout the hotel but the construction detracted
This was my first time to stay at the Houstonian. Due to the expansion and renovation it was a bit difficult to get to the check in, but the signage was a big help to park and enter. It's so beautifully designed and has so much character in the grand lobby. As I entered my room I was so impressed with the colors used (no boring neutrals) and the peaceful view of the trees through the windows was awesome being in a BIG city. Even the selection of magazines was great. I stayed up way too late to read the Cowboys and Indians magazine about favorite westerns and the beautiful pictures. I honestly thought about packing the issue in my luggage, but decided to just stay up, drink more coffee (wonderful also) and finish the articles. In the morning I strolled the hotel just to look around. The staff was friendly and if I hadn't already had so much coffee I would have enjoyed the coffee bar! Next time. This was just a quick overnight stay. My activities didn't allow me to eat in the Tribute restaurant (but I have heard great reviews) but I did have time to enjoy the bar with friends for a perfect Amaretto Sour...then off to Garth Brooks concert. Just a wonderful stay that I hope to repeat again.
