Mai's Restaurant - Houston

Visiting this restaurant for the first time. Was not disappointed at all. Food came out fast. There steam rice was one of the best for me. Honestly not all restaurants can make some good steam rice. Our waiter was a bit rude. But other than thateverything was amazing.

Pho and other similar dishes taste pretty good, but it's definitely on the pricier side. Parking is slightly confusing, it's across the street and slightly diagonal to the restaurant. Service is good and the food comes pretty quick. There is anautomatic 18% gratuity applied for groups of 6 or more.

Wanted to pickup something before the eateries closed downtown. Made a quick run to Mai's and picked up some Curry Tofu. Unfortunately, I couldn't substitute rice and get vegetables instead. It wasn't a big deal, life goes on. Made it back to theoffice and found that the rice was in a separate container so it worked out. I gave the rice to someone else and proceeded toeat the Tofu. It was pretty good.

Love it here. It?s always a crowd but the move very quickly. The food is consistently good a well as the service. I usually don?t order drinks but my family member wanted one while we waited for our name to be call. The bartender was extremely rude andignored her, then told her no I can?t fix you a drink. My hubby then went to the bar he fixed the drink for him. So because ofthat I took off a star. We ordered #97, I always get this dish. It?s a filet mignon with veggies. Our table also had Mongolianbeef, fried rice.
