Miyako - Houston

This restaurant is nothing remarkable; both the food and service are quite average. It was acceptable overall. The prices for sushi are about what you would expect. The atmosphere is just okay.

For appetizers, we chose karaage and calamari, and they were excellent choices. The texture and flavor were outstanding. The chili and creamy dipping sauces were also delicious. The chicken was tender and well-seasoned, truly delightful. The calamari was equally impressive, with crispy jalapeño bits adding a nice kick. We also enjoyed the makis (New York and El Pacifico), which were surprisingly generous in size. I was pleased with both the flavor and quantity. The katsu don came with a side of stir-fried veggies and miso soup. The miso soup was actually flavorful, unlike many other places that serve bland versions. The veggies and katsu were excellent as well. Overall, we enjoyed a lot of delicious food at a reasonable price with fast service. I was very satisfied with my experience and will definitely come back. As for parking, there’s free parking available in the nearby garage.

They have great service and really delicious sushi! their perfect cuts of fish tasted fresh, and their sushi rolls had really great aromen. I would definitely return

I was recommended to come to this place. Parking was great and easy. I was greeted when I walked in with a very loud metal bell as it hits the glass. It was a little too loud. The greeter sat me down very nicely and fast Five things that make me not come back 1. Bento box for lunch is 30 dollars. That is way too expensive and out of control. 2. I ordered udon stir fry. They didn't use udon. And it was like 14 dollars. What noodles did they use? Regular asian flat noodles. Straight up false advertising. 3. The dish did not taste good. The combination meat was overcooked and tough. 4. Got home and had diarrhea from their food 5. Menu is terrible quality. Literally a print out that is very beaten up and stapled and stained with yellow food stains. Where are the menu Covers? Sorry. This is not acceptable. I would ask Miyako to fix this bad experience I had. But It was just so terrible I ate and left. See photo of proof of non existence udon.

I typically hesitate to try new sushi places, but I took a chance on Miyako, and I'm so glad I did! I visited on a Saturday night, and it wasn't overly crowded. To my surprise, they offered Happy Hour specials all day and all weekend! Their selection was fantastic. I ordered the Mardi Gras roll, and it was delicious—just the right level of spiciness. The chicken egg rolls were served hot and crispy, and they were delightful. My waitress, Tracy, was attentive and friendly. I would definitely come back again!
