Pappasito's Cantina-catering - Houston

Picked up fajitas meal for take out. Food was good but didn't seem like we got enough for what we paid.

I apologize for misspelling her name. Aujené took my order over the phone and was incredibly patient and helpful every time I called back to add last-minute items for a staff lunch. By the time I arrived to pick up my order, we greeted each other like old friends! Even though I had my own strong helpers to carry everything to my car, she insisted on assisting and making sure we had everything we ordered. That’s what I call outstanding customer service. We had a wonderful family dinner on a weekend evening. The restaurant was a bit busy, but we were seated within 15 minutes. We decided to order several shared plates and sampled some unique menu items that we hadn't tried before. My wife especially enjoyed the Diablo shrimp, while my toddler couldn't get enough of the chips and salsa. The fish tacos were quite tasty as well.

I really want to know what kind of oil they use for their chips because I want to steer clear of it. The chips were terrible. It seems like they don't want customers to fill up on free chips, and one way to ensure that is to make them taste like soap. I didn't say anything negative, so why was I subjected to these chips? The service also gets a bad review because of those chips. The atmosphere is what you'd expect from a Mexican restaurant, except for the awful chips ruining my experience.

I eat at Pappasitos everywhere. And this location is by far the best. It's the cleanest. The servers are the friendliest and sharpest. The bathrooms as you can see are clean and those fajitas. It's too bad. I have to settle for the Pappasitos on I 10 east freeway most of the time, as that's where I live.
