Summer China Diner - Houston

The food is of poor quality and too expensive. The Kung pao chicken was unsatisfactory, the shrimp soup was disappointing, and the lo mein lacked flavor. The egg rolls were the only passable dish on the menu.

I just received my order and I was highly disappointed. I had been craving it but it was all unpleasant and not satisfying at all. The sweet and sour chicken and egg roll were not crispy and had a mushy texture. The Lo Mein had a strange slimy consistency. Additionally, I did not receive the free item I was supposed to for spending a certain amount. I could list more complaints but I will stop here and simply recommend finding another place to eat. I feel like I wasted $50 on this meal.

I recently dined at this restaurant for the first time and was disappointed by the high prices, mediocre food, and small portions. I ordered two plates for takeout - General Tso's chicken and Orange Chicken - along with two egg rolls that were not included in the price. The total came to $35, with each plate costing $12.50 and each egg roll a whopping $3.50 each. The portions were small, with only about 5 pieces of chicken per plate, which were dry and lacked flavor. The sauce was overly sweet and the dishes lacked vegetables. Overall, the food tasted like frozen meals from the grocery store and was not worth the high price. The restaurant needs to improve the quality of their dishes if they want to justify charging $3.50 for a single frozen egg roll.

Today was my first time here, it's a nice little diner the food was hot and delicious. I was accompanied by my mom and we had a 3 course meal soups, appetizers, and main course. I would definitely eat here again :

The food is always hot and fresh! The orange chicken is huge and the portions are great????????Egg rolls are small BUT very crunchy ???? The server is always terrific and the overall ambiance is quiet and peaceful.
