Azure Restaurant Bar - Hua Hin

The atmosphere at InterContinental is very nice, as one would expect from a hotel of this caliber. Even though we were not staying at the hotel and made our reservation through OpenTable, we were treated very politely. The meal on the day of our visit was a buffet style with appetizers such as salads, sashimi, sushi, prosciutto, and pickles, as well as main courses and desserts. The system allowed for unlimited orders of soft drinks, and we were given a separate wine list. While the main courses were not outstanding in terms of taste, they were of a sufficient level to enjoy in the stylish atmosphere with a drink. The service was also very prompt. It was the day before Mother's Day in Thailand, and a small jasmine plant was brought to our table, as it is a tradition in Thailand to give jasmine on Mother's Day. We were offered to take it home if we liked. During our meal, we were given complimentary drink tickets for the bar by the staff, and after dinner, we were guided there to enjoy a few cocktails. It was a satisfying meal in a relaxed and casual restaurant with an open view of the sea and pool. There were some Chinese children playing around the pool and restaurant, but it was within a tolerable range. The service was very pleasant, and we had a good time that made us consider staying at the hotel next time.

The restaurant was nice, but not extraordinary. Both of us ordered seafood and found that it didn't quite measure up to what we've had at street food markets.
