Twistee Treat - Hudson

I went to the restaurant tonight and ordered my usual: a large peanut butter sundae with extra peanut butter. I am absolutely furious and incredibly disappointed! This experience was nothing like my previous visits. They didn't use the proper peanut butter sauce for the sundae; instead, it was clumpy and hard, as if they had simply scooped peanut butter straight from a jar. There seems to be a lack of consistency in their preparation. It's like they just throw everything together rather than following a standard process. If they're out of the right products, they should inform customers that jarred peanut butter is an alternative. I’m not okay with paying $11 for two ice creams, especially when one sundae had a broken bottom and came with a black hair on it. I'm genuinely let down by this place. I should have waited the 20 minutes in line at the other location, Twisty Treat. In contrast, my last visit was quite pleasant. I ordered a sundae quickly, and the staff were knowledgeable and efficient, making my experience enjoyable. What a difference!

The ice cream had very little flavor and tasted like sugar-free reduced-fat ice cream. The cookies and cream topping was just the Oreo cookie parts without any of the cream, which is the best part! I'd recommend going to the Port Richey location instead. This place simply doesn’t compare to other Twistee Treats. It feels like this location used to be a different ice cream shop that somehow adopted the Twistee Treat name.

This place remains an excellent value! The ice cream is delicious, and the staff is very friendly, fast, and efficient.

I had a giant chocolate milk shake at 11:30 a.m. No other customers came during the 15 minutes I enjoyed the shake. The weather was ideal. The business provides comfortable seating.

Always great service and ice cream that is very good.
