The food is perfectly splendid, and the owners top it off with their beautiful personalities.. making the place feel like home.Vegetarian options: They will make it work for you!Kid-friendliness: Extremely warming.Parking: Street or side lots. Nothing new we’ve all lived in NY a while now!Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of space.Dietary restrictions: Just eat when your hungry, and calories in vs calories out!
Popped in for a bite to eat on our first visit to Hudson Falls. What a pleasant surprise. Our order (at about 12:30 pm) included two orders of the Mark breakfast, i.e. 3-eggs, meat (1-sausage, 1-bacon), toast, home fries and coffee. A bountiful meal. Delicious! The person that served us was so gracious, friendly and attentive. Note a suggestion to take your time to savor eating here. This locally-owned restaurant is now on our speed dial locations to visit again.
I stopped in at Losaw's Diner in Hudson Falls recently. This cozy and homey downtown eatery serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is table seating and stool seating at the counter. The breakfast menu offers eggs, omelets with toast, pancakes, French toast, home fries, corned beef hash, fried bread dough, and sides. The lunch menu offers hot sandwiches, clubs, cold sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, salads, soups, and special items. I took a seat at an open table and the server arrived with a menu and offered something to drink, I got an ice water. There were a few specials posted on the board including pork chops with mashed potatoes veggies, hot pork with mashed potatoes veggies, spaghetti with sausage meatballs and corn chowder. Since it was dinner time, I ordered the Spaghetti with Sausage Meatball $12.95 plus tax). As I was waiting, I overheard the regulars at the next table discussing Crandall Park and the ice hockey rink on Fire Rd in Glens Falls. I've played hockey there a very long time ago. My dinner arrived to my table in under 10 minutes. The good portion of Spaghetti with Sausage Meatball served hot and with slices of soft white bread butter. The spaghetti was cooked just right with a thick chunky homemade tomato sauce with hearty and tart flavors with a soft Italian sausage and a big soft homemade meatball. The sauce reminded me of my grandma's spaghetti sauce from decades ago. I finished my dinner and I saw that the regulars at the next table were enjoying coconut cream pie for dessert. However, I had enough food and got the check which was $13.86 with tax and before tip. Overall, this was a great stop for a spaghetti dinner before my 3+ hour trek back home through VT and NH. The service was friendly and prompt too.
