The small food cart is located a short distance from the city center of Hue, but it's definitely worth the walk to get there. Just keep in mind that they are only open until 10am. The cart serves a vegan Banh Mi sandwich with a variety of vegetables, mock meats, and sauces. It's incredibly delicious and only costs 8k dong. We ended up ordering six of them (enough for two people to enjoy as a snack throughout the day). I highly recommend visiting the food cart and also grabbing some Banh Mi takeaway.
The restaurant only offers one vegan Banh Mi option, which includes various mock meats, tomato sauce, nut pate, and chili. My boyfriend and I were so impressed with the Banh Mi that we ended up buying 4 more to-go for later in the day. Each Banh Mi is priced at 8,000 VND (0.30€), which is a great deal. I highly recommend trying their Banh Mi, as it offers a unique twist compared to traditional vegan options that usually only contain vegetables. Just keep in mind that they close early at 10/10:30am, so it's best to get there earlier.
We walked a lot to get here and we don't regret it. The food was delicious and it was really easy to communicate and get what we wanted.
This small food stall has a few seats available. The family that operates it is incredibly kind and welcoming. The sandwich is absolutely delicious - be sure to order two! It seems that the location on HappyCow is incorrect. We discovered it at 162 Phan Bội Châu, Trường An, Thành phố Huế, Thừa Thiên Huế, Vietnam.
