Restaurant easy to find and in a pleasant and quiet complexion. We were served quickly. average price 50,000 ₫.
I discovered this restaurant while biking to Tu Duc's tomb (which is very close by) and I highly recommend it. I tried the Thien Tam salad and the Thien Tam stuffed pancakes for only 100,000 dong, which is quite affordable. The restaurant had a fancy ambiance and the food was delicious and fresh. However, it's important to note that the staff does not speak English.
I visited this restaurant after exploring Du Luc's Tomb, as it is nearby and located in the countryside. The restaurant is situated in a pagoda and has a slightly formal atmosphere. They offered both Vietnamese and English menus, and I ordered spring rolls, noodle soup, and an orange juice. The orange juice appeared to be freshly squeezed but was not cold or served with ice like most places in Vietnam. The staff assured me that there were no fish, egg, milk, yogurt, or butter in my food, though there were milkshakes, milk coffees, and a menu item containing butter available. Although I opted for safe options, I was still unsure if the restaurant was completely vegan. The soup was flavorful and fresh, once I removed the lemongrass pieces, and included tofu, various vegetables, and unexpected pineapple. The spring rolls were tasty but nothing out of the ordinary. My total bill came to around VND75K, which I found to be reasonable, though not particularly cheap.
I expectedaybe too much after these reviews and the mentioned higher price. What we've received was a not bad/not putstanding dinner, but payed 325.000VND for a bit of Tofu, rice amd spring rolls. Still fair price for EU standards, but definitely expensive compared to other vegetarian restaurants. Somehow, the restaurant was full, maybe we just ordered the wrong (too simple) food? If there were not many other options around I may give it another try, but there are many other amd cheaper quan chay's in and around Hue
