However, once the staff came out, they were friendly and attentive. I ordered a vegetable rice combo with a side of noodle soup and tea, as well as a warm tofu salad. Both dishes were excellent, although I couldn't taste the figs mentioned in the menu. The total bill came to 80,000 dong. I recommend asking for the Vietnamese menu with prices in dong, as they may have one available. This review was updated on May 23, 2022.
This is the only restaurant in this area that I have returned to. I tried about 5 different dishes during my two visits, and they were all amazing. However, just because it is a Buddhist vegetarian restaurant, it doesn't mean you should trust them blindly! Here are a few tips: first, they don't ask you to remove your shoes. I'm not sure why there are so many shoes outside, but they allow you to wear your shoes inside and the floor is dirty anyway. Second, avoid the English menu. Ask for the original menu before they offer you the English one. The translations may not always be accurate. Instead, try typing the Vietnamese names into Google images for a better idea of what you're ordering. Additionally, the prices on the English menu are in USD, so you may not know the actual cost in Vietnamese Dong. This could lead to confusion. Third, as is common in Vietnam, always check your change immediately. One of the staff members tried to trick me by giving me an old 10,000 Dong bill instead of a 100,000 Dong bill. He quickly left the room, leaving the other workers to deal with the situation. Although he never returned, the rest of the staff eventually corrected the mistake.
The dining experience at this restaurant was fantastic, with exceptionally friendly service. The staff spoke English and the menu was also available in English. I ordered the tofu in tomato sauce and morning glory (a Vietnamese spinach dish), both of which were delicious and very healthy. Although the prices were a bit high, the atmosphere of the quaint village street made it worth it. There is a convenient store nearby for affordable water and beer, as well as a budget-friendly massage place. Overall, a great place to stop for a meal.
My favorite restaurant in hue. outside the city. they were disappointed several times and never. today cold so the spicy mad thai hotpot really meets the place. Not much English spoken, but have a translated menu.
I came here because the other vegan place was closed. They serve a variety of vegan dishes, but there were two menus, one in English with us Dollar, one in Vietnamese with dong prices, and the staff couldn't speak English so it made it pretty difficult to order. The portions are small, as in most vegan restaurants in the area. The food was okay, not amazing. I had tofu in tomato sauce 1nd lemon grass with noodles, the mushroom Claypot is really tasty, but everything is really small for around 50k, which is around 2$, might not sound like much but it's actually a bit pricey for the size. Convenient if you're in the area and the other one is closed.
