Our eyes were bigger than our stomach, but dang we tried. The Raclette was excellent as were the crepes. I definitely recommend Au Bel Noir to guest visiting Alp Huez, just call ahead.
Visited on the last night of my holiday with my girlfriend who'd never had a raclette before! We were not disappointed with a very friendly welcome, some lovely wine and an excellent traditional raclette over hot coals! Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to fill themselves with cheese! Very quaint and traditional decor and just an all round very enjoyable experience.
Beautiful food! That's all I have to say.A must to try is the crepes! Especially the Grenoblaise if I recall well.Salads are very nice too!Cosy atmosphere and just a bit far from the slops, enough to get a reasonable price for a beautiful dish!Dessert are good too! You cannot find any commercial dish here, only authentic!
Very nice traditional foods. Nice ambience. Good service. Nice to sit in an authentic french alp-house.
The restaurant is very cosy and the owners are very friendly and welcoming. We had fantastic crepes with Breton cider but the other food (fondues, raclettes and steaks looked very good too). The chef is a 'patissier' so the desserts are particularly good! Good idea to book especially on Wednesday when the resort chalet staff are on their day off! Highly recommend this place. Great value for money..
