Manara Shawarma - Hull

The shawarma at this restaurant lacks authentic flavor, especially the meat. The garlic and hummus are watery, and the prices are too high. Additionally, the food is reheated in the microwave.

The best Mediterranean food in Gatineau. Naja is the best.

I ordered a mixed BBQ plate through DoorDash, which was supposed to include 1 shish taouk (chicken skewer), 1 shish kebab (beef skewer), and 1 kafta (ground beef skewer). Unfortunately, the order was not as described. There was actually no shish kebab in the plate, the shish taouk was just chopped chicken breast (not on a skewer) and was not cooked properly, and the kafta was overly moist and lacked flavor. The rice and potatoes were okay but could have used more flavor, the tabouli was lacking spices and had an overwhelming lemon taste, and the hummus was poor quality with old tahini and overly lemony garlic. The only highlight of the meal was the bread. I called the restaurant to address the issues but the person I spoke with seemed confused and unaware of the menu items. Overall, I was very disappointed with the meal and would not recommend it.
