House Of Taipei At Lake Norman

This edition of Excited about Eating brings us to Huntersville, NC, where a close friend recommended House of Taipei. There is plenty of parking available, and we had no wait on a Sunday evening. The restaurant offers authentic Chinese dishes, some of which are labeled as Favorable, Traditional, Unforgettable, and Vegetarian. This is Dora speaking. As we walked in, we noticed several customers leaving with take-out containers, suggesting that the restaurant is just as popular for take-out as it is for dining in. Although we've heard there can be wait times at times, on this particular Sunday night, we were seated right away.

I discovered this Chinese restaurant a few months ago. Coming from New York, I've found that most of the Chinese food around here is pretty subpar. However, this place is the closest to what we're used to back home. You definitely won't be disappointed!

I’ve been dining at this restaurant for over a decade, and the food has consistently been excellent. I’ve never had a bad meal here. It’s hands down the best Chinese food in the Charlotte area. If you try the Hunan chicken, you won’t be disappointed!

Excellent Chinese cuisine! We order takeout from here about twice a month, and it’s consistently delicious with every order being accurate. We’ve also dined in, and while the staff is quite efficient, they can be a bit brusque. We've had to ask several times for drink refills, extra napkins, and such. If you can handle that, I highly recommend giving it a try!
