Beale's Texas Bbq - Huntington Beach

Family of 4 with dinner, 2 of us with double-baked potato plate with trip tip. Meat was very chewing, not tender. The food was warm, had to be sent back to reheat. One in our family had the 3 meat plate. Bands and brisket were hard. Definitely not cooked slowly. Hot Link was okay like the sweater pig. Visit from Texas and definitely not mesquite smoked. No children's menu is also available.

I was a customer in the previous location and had good orders there. since meal today does not fulfill my expectations in the new situation, some growing pain apparently. the meat was fat and little taste, sides were hit or miss. bean and potsalat ok but mac n cheese was overcooked and not creamy with cheese. the cole Slav was terrible as much edgy. brisket was some well made end cuts, and ripening were dry, no sauce was provided. the brisket sandwich was with fat and edgy from the swallow on it, it had to eat with a fork after I had put some bbq sauce on the meat, my own jack daniels sauce.

Had an unfortunate experience, but none that had to do with the taste of food. The waiter was not trained on the menu and unfortunately led us to a conversation with the owner who was condescated with his syrupy sweet customer service voice while we took away our food dishes before a decision was made on our subject. He said to us as if we either did not understand what we ordered and devastated with my bearded man what was a short rib and then we could not afford what we wanted, even though my husband said? I don't care what it costs, will I pay it? the problem was their menu and waiter who did not know to tell us what we ordered?t did not exist, although the menu did not exclude that meat part of the ?plate elections? The owner decided what he wanted to do to fix the situation that was already made in his mind and did not want to hear what we wanted (what was to buy a whole different plate! But either he judged us because we're Huntington Harbor guy or we're just stubborn. His cure was to take away the three choices of meat and replace it with a short ribbed plate that is a rib, but he will add a second for this inconvenience? That's not even KLOSE what we wanted! We have even returned avid BBQ family from a Texas trip in the week, where we checked a few top 50 in Texas BBQ from our list. We would like to try out several articles when trying a new place?. This place is not like a Texas BBQ. My tri-tip (I just ordered because it didn't have Brisket this day) was sashimi-style thin cut with un- even slices that were predried with their bbq sauce! (I don't like having Bbq sauce on every bite, so I was cheated) My second choice was hot links and I had threatened a massive bunch of cheap meat in BBQ sauce. The choice of pages is super stereotypical without flair. In Texas they become creative like Green Chile Mac and Cheese, Serrano glazed Brussel sprouts, wasabi coleslaw?. I just had to take a bite of the Koleslaws before I let cry about aging and the way the owner treated our questions, why we got rib tips and not the short ribs we spent 20 minutes to get the waiter to get our order right. He repeatedly repeated RIB TIPS for my tri-tip and rib tips for my men desired short ribs (which is the excluded meat) The ambience was cool, clean. We had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately we can support entrepreneurs who did the way he did. Instead of firing my smoker and cooking for me, then dealing with this drama.

This was my second visit here, this time a group of 7. most of us ordered the Brisket sandwich, one got the brisket plate. I thought it was okay. the sandwiches had a lot of meat on them, but it was hardly luke warm. Macn cheese was delicious, but the noodles were over cooked. it also needed salt pepper, but there were none on the table. the Bbq beans were spicy, but very sweet. I didn't like her. the huged greens were amazing. She said she'd come back, just for her! the potato salad was good, but not my favorite. pleasant atmosphere, friendly service, but a bit expensive for just good eating.

Great food and service. I got the pulled pork, cornbread and spicy ranch beans. Wife got the pulled pork sandwich and mac and cheese. Everything had amazing flavor and the service was on point.
