We stopped and found our way inside and to a young gentleman behind the counter. He was happy to take the orders and a cash tip into the jar. The missus was bold and ordered a Carnitas Burrito and added to make it a Wet one with melted cheese over a brownish wet sauce. She was enjoying every bit of the carnitas and the wetness of the Burrito. My order was for two burritos, one a plain Bean and Cheese, and one that was filled with chunky pork called a green chili Burrito. I did not want any salsa or rice or beans in my all meat Chili Verde Burrito. It was super tasty and served in the pocket with nothing but porky chunks. That's the way I like my Chili Verde. An Orange Bang and a sweet Horchata completed our meal. This time around, we think George's Mexican Food did a good job preparing our food and keeping a tight and clean sitting area. We only missed the salsa bar this time. We will be back for sure.
Just ordered through 2 carnitas and rice only burritos. The girls said carnitas and rice only, nothing else. We said yes. The burritos have beans. The receipt does not say carnitas and rice only, like it usually does. Disappointing.
I keep giving it a chance and not sure why. They forget things, are way overpriced and quality is whatever. Today I got a combo and bean and cheese burrito. The burrito had like a teaspoon of cheese in it and they would only give me a little bit of salsa. No bueno. Service almost always has attitude with it and ambiance is basically an 80s Taco Bell that hasn't been upgraded since. Plus they almost always make me wait until the next person drives up behind me. Only reason I am giving them 2 stars is that they have a drive through and occasionally the food is decent, it gets me to think maybe the restaurant is solid and I give it another chance.. inevitably they fail again within a couple of passes and I am reminded why I didn't go for a year last time even though I live down the street. Be smarter than me.. pick another place or just hit MCDs next door.
Stopped for lunch and picked the Chile verde pork burrito (includes pork and refried beans). At $6.99 plus tax, when I took it out of the bag and saw how tiny it was, I just had to march back in and ask for more food. The manager quickly defended the portion size, saying we put one scoop of each ingredient inside . He offered to refund my money, which I promptly accepted. The whole situation killed the vibe. Not sure I could return.
We've been coming to George's for over 30 years. Tonight we were served the saddest, most pathetic shredded beef tacos I've ever seen. The quality AND quantity has gone way down hill. Pretty disappointed
