This was my first time at this restaurant and I was not impressed at all! The lomo-saltado meat was okay, but the rice was too salty. Despite many complaints about this issue, it seems like it hasn't been fixed. The yuca a la huancaina sauce was also not very tasty. If made to go, it should be served on the side to prevent it from cooking with the heat of the fried yuca. Additionally, our maraculla was overripe, so I asked my daughter to let the staff know. Unfortunately, when she did, they took it away for 10 minutes and never came back. I hope they take more pride in serving Peruvian food because it can be delicious when prepared properly.
The ceviche at this restaurant is decent. However, it is lacking in flavor and authenticity. I have had a lot of Peruvian food, including the traditional pollo a la brasa, so I know what authentic flavors should taste like. Unfortunately, this ceviche falls short. Additionally, they now cook it in an electric rotisserie rather than charcoal, which affects the taste.
Upon checking that it wasn't rated highly, I must respectfully disagree. From the moment I entered, I was treated with kindness and respect. I ordered the fish ceviche and was completely impressed. Ceviche is my favorite dish, and this version at the restaurant quickly became one of my top 3. My conversation with the owner was enjoyable and uplifting. Every restaurant can have an off-day, so I urge others to give this place another chance. You may be pleasantly surprised by the satisfying food and flavors. Thank you for a great dining experience.
Good, consistent, rotisserie chicken. Support small businesses like this.
