With the owner in the kitchen, the cousin and wife waiting tables, and of course like all old fashion family owned places made a few mistakes but that was the charm of it, like eating in my grandma’s dining room on Sundays, if they screwed up they made right by it. I go there now once a week. If it’s not on the menu they will make it for you.
My friends had read that this place was highly rated, so we decided to go. I split the crabcake appetizer with a friend. It had a glutinous consistency and tasted fishy, reminding me of light tuna held together by cornstarch and water. We sent it back. Two of us ordered the Almarco chicken in a Marsala wine sauce. What we were served was 3 tiny circles of chicken floating in a watery pink substance which brought to mind Campbell's tomato soup diluted to the max. The only thing I found edible were the bread sticks. Never again..........
