It was interesting but a bit too tart for my taste. We also happened to get it again in our second flight. Sweaterweather had just a hint of cranberry and was a good, easy-drinking wheat beer. Appalachian Bandito was a standout, improving on the classic Corona with great flavor—it was light and refreshing. Jewel City One Fiddy was slightly hoppy for a golden ale, yet still very enjoyable and light. I love a good brown ale, and Boggercat did not disappoint! It had lovely caramel notes that I really enjoyed. Happy Hunty was a pretty decent hefeweizen with good flavor: light and easy to drink. As for the food, it was incredibly good and definitely left us in a food coma! We ordered the Lobster Mac and Cheese, which came in a large portion. Although there wasn't a lot of lobster, it was still very tasty. We also had the Langostino Roll and truffle fries, both of which I highly recommend! I would definitely return to try more food if I ever pass through again!
This was my second visit to The Peddler, and this time I brought my wife and child along. I initially made it a must-visit because I like to check out breweries when I travel, but I returned just as much for the food as for the excellent brews they offer. The service was exceptional, as always, and everyone enjoyed their meals. My wife and I tried several beers and were pleased with the selections in our two tasting flights. We rated all the sours we sampled highly, with Sweater Weather being my favorite. There’s also an arcade upstairs that I haven't checked out yet, but I plan to do so next time I’m in the area.
One of the best burger spots in the area! Their burgers are high quality, and they have some creative offerings. The mac and cheese with lobster is outstanding. I highly recommend stopping by The Peddler if you're in town. The food is fantastic, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
They recently updated their menu to add two new vegan sandwiches, and more clearly label vegan menu options. The staff is very knowledgeable and happy to accommodate. Also, the beers are brewed on-site and are fantastic
The tofu bites were good. Despite being big chunks of tofu, it was well breaded and seasoned. I also got the veggie burger but didn’t end up eating it. The presentation of it looked so-so. It looked like the veggie patties you can get at Costco (and likely is). I’m sure it would have tasted good, but the tofu bites filled me up more than I expected.
