Although times have changed and the health code standards for food trucks are now more strict than their brick and mortar counterparts some of us still dwell on the times of the roach coach. I have been one of those people all these years and have been far too reluctant to try anything from a food truck until someone I know decided to open one. Even then I 've put it off for a year until 4th of July weekend I thought I 'd go outside my culinary norm and brave the dreaded food truck once and for all... I 'm glad I did. It is a little off the beaten path but well worth it. I asked Chef (and owner Forest Petersen to wow me. He and his father, Chef Larry Petersen, delivered to me what they refer to as the Odin 's Plate. This is an epic meal worthy of the namesake of lore. It included a succulent sliced sausage which seemed to have an ever so slight hint of sweetness, a healthy portion of brilliant mouthwatering barbacoa, and still another portion of pulled pork done to exquisite perfection. Also included was a tangy mild red sauce that carries the truck 's name, Berserker, Fafner 's Gold which is a mustard based sauce, and then there was my favorite a white sauce they call the Backwoods Gold (an Alabama style white barbecue sauce. Now, I 've saved the best for last. Of course you can 't have a full barbecue meal without sides and one of the best sides with BBQ is baked beans. However, when you order the beans from Berserker, you 're in for a true culinary delight. Every bite of the meat laden medley of Berserker Beans had me craving more. I couldn 't devour them fast enough. My chef hat off to Chefs Larry and Forrest Petersen for making me a food truck believer and for the fine recipes you 've created and cook up every day on site. Today, you get all the stars.

I finally got to stop by, I ordered the Berserker sandwich and it was a MONSTER. They even through in some burnt ends. It all tasted amazing. The pulled pork dipped in the white sauce was great. Next time I’m getting the ribs!
