We showed up right at opening and had a great experience. First highest compliments to Sharee. She was alone and had to go buy cups and ice to get things started. She was very very attentive as waitstaff BUT she also cooked our food which was outstanding. We had the shrimp and cheese egg rolls which were excellent. We had fried okra and this was beyond fantastic. Whatever okra you may have tried this was the best ever. Then we had the fried fish platter and OMG it was better than the competition. This is a simple place with paper plates, plastic wear and plastic drink cups. Nothing fancy but this gives it character. FOOD is made as you wait so DON'T be in a hurry. It didn't take long but just bear that in mind. Prices are good for the quality and quantity of food. It is on highway 19 at the intersection with FM 980 next to the EXXON station. The owners are blessed indeed to have Sharee. If she had not been there they wouldn't have been open for business. Give it a try I think you will be pleased.
Overpriced! Drinks were hot and I had to ask for ice for my 1 can of soda, that was strange. The burger I got was terrible and they left my wife's hush puppies out. Boudin balls got them the extra star.
I live in the area and was told by many to try it and how good it was. I beg to differ, although it wasn't terrible it wasn't great either. they shouldn't be calling it Cajun because it's flavorless, not spicy at all. The shrimp and cheese eggrolls I heard so much about were just egg roll wrapper fried in grease. i for one will not be going in again.
I had the fish fry. It was a little pricey but the food is good. I will be back.
