East Side Mario's - Huntsville

Good food. Good service. Good atmosphere. Decent value. Child friendly. Go to restaurant in a pinch.

I have never been to a East Side Mario's so badFirst the food was poor quality.

Husband and I went for a quiet dinner. Was surprised to see that they added quite a bit of stuff to the menu since the last time we were there. We were greeted fast, seated fast, had our drinks fast, and even had our order taken in a timely manner. Then it seemed to go downhill. As our waitress walked over to punch our order in the system, another employee approached her. within seconds there seemed to have been a heated conversation, as our waitress is pointing and looking at us. She brought us our salad (which looked like it had been sitting out, and was literally a handful of lettuce in the bowl, soggy croutons and over dressed..) but the bread (which we got two loaves throughout) was hot both times (YAY) they dropped that off, and we didnt see them again until our food came out.. which was about 30 min later.. even after the people who came in after us, ordered after as and got there food before us. when our food did come, I was surprised at the portion of the pasta.. It really hasnt been that long but they definitly shrank. But still tasted amazing!! The only other thing I can really say is that I did not like how our waitress handed us the debit machine and said "theres a tip function for you to put my tip in"Then hovered over us watching us put in everything through the debit machine (especiially the scowl when she watched me put in 2.00as her tip) but changed her attitude a bit when I pulled a $5 bill. Didnt even wait for us to leave the table before grabbing it..Food was good, but the service was like a roller coaster, really good, not great then excellent, then rude.

Rolled into town for a few days of cottage relaxation and needed to feed the kids quickly.Service was good, even for a big box restaurant and they brought out the kids food very quickly. They were very accommodating with a child who cannot eat any dairy - especially for an Italian-American eatery! The staff were very aware of the issue and did their upmost to ensure that needs were met, and they were.Kids portions were large for the price, a great value. They also have a good value menu for adults as well. They understand the "all-you-ca-eat" concept of their menu very well, are happy to bring fresh refills without incident when asked.Would visit this location again.

We had a nice week day visit with friends from BC. Good service and lots of food. Refills of caesar salad and bread. Accommodated a baby in a high chair effortlessly. The price was right and the sevice was good. And the air conditioning was welcomed.
