Not Your Average Joe's Hyannis

The restaurant was surprisingly busy for 4 in the afternoon, clearly more diners had the same idea we did to knock dinner out early. It seemed unexpected from a staffing perspective, but the staff was friendly and professional and made the most of it. The chicken Caesar wrap was delicious and huge, as was the le kids pizza which was enough for 3-4 meals for my 4 year old.

Not a great experience. Our server was new and not ready to be left alone yet she was. Appetizers never arrived, even after we asked about them. Had to flag down our server 3 times to get drinks. She asked one time if we needed anything, and we did, but she walked away without waiting for the answer. Saw her wandering around the restaurant quite a bit. The food runner handed a blazing hot dish to one of us without saying it was hot and walked away silently after the recipient yelped. Watched a dad at the next table grab the hot pizza from the spot in front of his very young son where it was placed. The manager was called to that table and we saw him both apologize to the diners, and berate the server. After paying the bill and walking away from the table, we asked to speak with a manager. We shared these and other issues with him. We figured he would want to know that staff was burning guests. He asked how the food was and we said the food was good, and his response well then we did something right. That was it, and that conversation as well as seeing him in action confirmed for us that it 's not just the un trained staff, the problem is with management. Positively won 't be back

Very good food. Prix-Fixe menu is very extensive and a great value

We arrived for a reservation and was seated on time !! Our Waiter was great Taylor was #181 was amazing, attentive, pleasant and efficient. Constantly checking to see if we needed a refill or anything else !!
